Jason Kulpa Scholarship – The Jason Kulpa Special Needs Scholarship was created to assist parents or siblings of special needs children or adults. This scholarship provides $1,000 to be used toward tuition or related expenses. To enter for a chance to receive this $1,000 scholarship eligible students must submit a short 500-word essay. Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship, students must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • A high school senior that has already been accepted into an accredited college, university, design, or trade school and is the parent or sibling of a special needs child.
  • A current student enrolled at an accredited college, university, design, or trade school and is the parent or sibling of a special needs child.
  • A parent or sibling of an active special needs student.

Guidelines
Submit a written response to the question, “How has your interaction with your special needs child, family member, or sibling enhanced your life? Share an anecdote that demonstrates this experience.” (under 500 words).

Grantee Selection
The Jason Kulpa Scholarship Committee will award at least one (1) $1,000 scholarship for each entry period. Grantees will be selected by April 30th, 2020, and will be announced on this website and social media channels. Once contacted, grantees will have two weeks to respond and accept. If the grantee does not respond, a new grantee will be selected.

Kulpa scholarship applicants must write a 500-word essay on one of the following topics:

  • What exactly does it mean to be a writer nowadays?
  • How does the work of a writer differ from that of a non-writer?
  • What are your thoughts on the future of writing?

All works must be free from plagiarism and must give apt answers to the topics.

Who is Jason Kulpa? Brief history

Jason Kulpa is a serial entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of UE.co, San Diego’s Fastest Growing Business multi-year award winner, and a Certified Great Place to Work multi-year winner. Mr. Kulpa is a San Diego two-time winner of the Most Admired CEO Award of the San Diego Business Journal and also a semi-finalist for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur award.

Under Mr. Kulpa’s leadership, in 2018, his teams volunteered at over 24 events and worked side-by-side to improve the San Diego community.
